'Mario Kart 8' DLC News, Rumors: Nintendo’s Title To Include The ‘Kalimari Desert’ Race Track?

New details on Nintendo's "Mario Kart 8" have surfaced and these include the "Kalimari Desert" race track.

The "Kalimari Desert" race track is assumed to be part of "Mario Kart 8," according to Vine Report. The said track appeared in the 1996 version of the "Mario Kart" game series for the Nintendo 64, which was called "Mario Kart 64." Also, it was featured in the game's latest predecessor, which is "Mario Kart 7." As per the publication, future "Mario Kart" games might see the track, even if it was not seen among the stage list for "Mario Kart 8."

On June 24, Nintendo UK tweeted a screenshot of Kamimari Desert from "Mario Kart 64." In caption, the company wrote "Good things come to those who wait. #MK8." The said tweet could ignite hope to fans when it comes to the release of new add-ons to the racing game sometime in the future. Also, it is assumed that Nintendo would release new information on the game at the Electronic Entertainment Expo or E3 2016 event this month.

Nintendo's "Mario Kart" is one of the "meatiest games," when it comes to karts and tracks, as per Nintendo Life. According to the publication, though lots of game content have been added to the original "Mario Kart" game, it was not foreseen that the gaming company would pursue its support to the game by releasing extra sorts of content.

Published by Nintendo for the Wii U video game console, "Mario Kart 8" serves as the eighth major installment of the "Mario Kart" game series. It was first announced at the E3 2013 and was released globally in the May 2014.
