'Mario Kart 8' DLC News: 3rd Expansion To Get 2017 Release Date; Europe Receives Content First?
New details on the release date of Nintendo's "Mario Kart 8" third DLC have surface and, according to reports, the new content is not set to hit consoles this year. Also, the new expansion is rumored to hit Europe first.
Nintendo's third expansion pack for "Mario Kart 8" is set to be released in 2017, Christian Today has learned. However, it look like the latest announcement of the studio do not indicate any confirmation about the title, leaving fans to think that they are being teased if they still want another DLC pack.
According to Crossmap, "Mario Kart 8's" forthcoming DLC is set to be initially released in Europe. The prime reason behind it is that most Nintendo accounts are located in Europe. However, this is yet to be confirmed.
Fans were last left with the image of the Kalamari Desert Track from the "Mario Kart 64," along with the caption "Good things come to those who wait. #MK8." It is assumed that the title is in the works and will hit the market soon.
Gamers in North America can utilize their Platinum and Gold points to trade for several new rewards, such as "Mario Kart 8" DLC Pack 1, as per Siliconera. According to the publication, other titles included as part of the rewards iclude "Wario Land 3," "Super Mario Kart," "Super Mario Bros. 3," "Metroid II: Return of Samus," and "Donkey Kong 3."
Aside from the aforementioned titles, players are also entitled to have 30 percent discount on games, such as "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D," "Fire Emblem Awakening," "Earthbound Beginnings," "Super Mario 3D World," "NES Remix," and "Mario Party: Island Tour," among others.
At this point, it is assumed that "Mario Kart 8's" DLC is set to come out in 2017.
