Manny Pacquiao vs. Timothy Bradley Fight News, Predictions: Filipino Champ Going To Step Down While On Top
As the April 9 schedule for Manny Pacquio vs. Timothy Bradley fight draws near, news outlets have also ramped up the rumors and predictions in what is billed to be the Filipino champ's final fight.
Lydell Rhodes (23-1, 11 Kos), who has been attending Manny Pacquiao's camp as sparring partner, gives his own prediction for the fight and he claims that Timothy Bradley won't stand a chance in Las Vegas.
"I don't know if he'll box or pressure Manny in their third fight. Either way, he has no chance of winning," he told Philippine Star. "Bradley has no one-punch knockout power which Manny has."
Meanwhile, bookies' predictions are overwhelmingly in favor of Manny Pacquiao in his upcoming fight against Timothy Bradley, according to the betting odds.
Although refusing to make his own predictions, Manny Pacquiao, however, said that he wants to retire on a high note in the fight against Timothy Bradley, especially after the bitter defeat at the hands of Floyd Mayweather.
Pacquiao told Fighthub news, as shared by BoxingNews24, that he wants to prove to people that his defeat was a result of the rotator cuff injury he suffered, and not due to waning skills.
"I want to retire with a win. It's hard to say [whether he would fight Mayweather again], because I'm not there right now," he said. "I've been in boxing 25 years. If we talk about continuing my career, of course, I can fight anybody."
Not one to shy away from making predictions, coach Freddie Roach claimed that Manny Pacquiao will put Timothy Bradley to sleep in their next fight in April.
