Manny Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather Fight News: Tickets Finally go on Sale for Legendary May 2 Bout

It took some five years to realize, and with just over a week before the extremely highly anticipated mega fight between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao, tickets will finally be on sale.

With the May 2 closing in, a dispute between Top Rank, Mayweather Promotions, and the MGM Grand was reported to possibly put the fight at risk, while fans traveling to Las Vegas had expressed their intentions to cancel their hotel reservations if tickets were not put on sale soon.

Allocation of tickets between the camps, credentials, and hotel rooms were some of the items that were being disputed closing in on the fight date, but as Kevin Iole of Yahoo Sports reports, that's all in the past now.

"We resolved all of the issues and now we're waiting for the paperwork. I said on the call that if what we agreed upon is in the paperwork, we will sign it and the tickets will be released," Top Rank chief Bob Arum said about the late morning conference call between the camps.

According to the Yahoo Sports report, tickets for the fight are priced at $10,000, $7,500, $5,000, $3,500, $2,500, and $1,500, clarifying that none of the $10,000 tickets will be available for public purchase. The tickets that will be made available will be made on sale Thursday at 3 p.m. ET, and can be purchased at MGMGrand, TicketMaster, or by calling 800-745-300. The report also reminds that buyers are limited to four tickets per person.

Top Rank president Todd duBoef said only about 500 of the estimated 16,000 tickets will go on public sale. The rest of the tickets are in the control of Top Rank, Mayweather Promotions, and the MGM Grand, and will take care of its distribution. It was also said that everyone from customers, to fighter camps, to fight sponsors, to HBO and Showtime executives, would have to pay for the tickets they are given.
