Mandy Moore and Ryan Adams Divorce News: Songwriters Split after Six Years of Marriage

New reports are claiming that songwriters Mandy Moore and Ryan Adams have ended their marriage after six years, says People magazine.

Apparently, Adams filed for a divorce against his wife and actress, Mandy Moore. While Moore filed the divorce in L.A. while Adams was away in New York for an appearance with Late Late Night with Seth Meyers.

Speaking on the divorce, Moore's representative said, "Mandy Moore and Ryan Adams have mutually decided to end their marriage of almost 6 years. 'It is a respectful, amicable parting of ways and both Mandy and Ryan are asking for media to respect their privacy at this time', writes The Huffington Post.

The couple got married in March, 2009 in Savannah, Georgia. The couple had started dating in 2008 and got engaged soon after.

Moore was later seen shopping with close friend Minka Kelly soon after the new of the divorce broke out, according to Just Jared.

During a September 2014 interview with BuzzFeed, Adams explained why he hung up during an interview with a Melbourne radio station after being asked about his wife. "I just don't share at all about my private life," he at first politely told the interviewer, only to hang up after being questioned again.

The couple never had any children, but had seven cats and two dogs as of August, according to Radar Online. For those that may not know, this was the first marriage for the both of them.
