Maisie Williams New Movies 2015 News: 'Game of Thrones' Actress Tapped for 'The Falling' & 'Doctor Who'

Maisie Williams, the "Game of Thrones' fame is now taking up different projects as she stars in the upcoming film, "The Falling' and the sci-fi TV series, "Doctor Who.'

The plot of the movie, "The Falling' is set in the year 1969, with the central character Lydia, played Williams, finds herself facing an epidemic outbreak.

On taking up the role in the movie, Williams said, "I get sent loads of roles that are all action or moody teenagers. But the character Lydia has been just very different to anything I've done before. Sometimes it feels like no one can get 'Game of Thrones' out of their heads. They think I just run around with swords, covered in mud and blood. It was lovely that Carol gave me the opportunity to prove I can do something else," she told Contactmusic.

Talking about her own school experience, as she compared it to the movie, she said, "By Year 9, I hated it. I was doing 'Game of Thrones' and trying to fit in at school, catching up with my schoolwork. I was different, and being different doesn't go down well at secondary school! It wasn't necessarily bullying, just girls being girls. It could have been any girl and we all would have pounced."

Speaking on working for "Doctor Who,' she said, "Compared to a lot of the fans of the show, I'm not a fan but I feel I am a fan of it. It's mental. It's crazy," according to Breaking News.

"Everything is very fast-paced and it's kind of hard to keep up with all the dialogue and the words I've never heard before. It's fun, really good fun," she added.
