‘Mafia 3’ News, Release Date: Title Unveils Features Dynamic Heist, A Look At New Bordeaux [WATCH]

2K Games has released its latest trailer for "Mafia 3" and it features traditional criminal activity and realistic New Orleans.

"Mafia 3's" newest trailer presents a good and old-fashioned heist, as per Polygon. The video opens with a guard crushing his cigarette puff when a truck with two men on board come. The guard checks their identity and lets them proceed. The succeeding sequences show that the two men are actually robbers, who have been ordered to steal money from the vault.

Along with piles of money, 1960s hairdo, and "peckerwood" way of speaking, the other sequences featured guns and shooting, socialization, drinking, costume parties, and fights; these are indicators that 2K Games' forthcoming "Mafia 3" is set to be dynamic in nature.

2K Games' heist element is enhanced by its setting, New Bordeaux. According to The Verge, Hangar 3's developing team had to reconstruct New Orleans, the city that inspired the local setting, to provide a kind of gaming experience that is close to the real one. Such is evidenced by a close bayou to the downtown, as well as the elevated city to facilitate a different in-game driving experience.

"Mafia 3" is 2K Games' forthcoming action-adventure video game and third installment in the "Mafia" game series. In in 1968 New Orleans-based city New Bordeaux, the title centers on orphan and Vietnam War veteran Lincoln Clay, who builds a crime group to counter the Italian mob.

2K Games' "Mafia 3" is set to be released for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Microsoft Windows, and OS X on Oct. 7.
