Madonna New Album News: Singer Releases 'Rebel Heart' Tour Dates for North America and Europe
The 56-year-old pop icon Madonna announced her tour dates for her newest album "Rebel Heart" on Monday. Tickets will be for sale starting Monday, March 9. The tour will consist of 35 cities internationally.
For those that may not know, the tour kicks off in Miami, Florida. Other North America places the diva will be performing at are Atlanta, New York, Boston, Chicago, Portland, San Jose, Las Vegas, several locations in Canada, and a show in Puerto Rico. European locations include Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Spain, Italy, France, Holland, Scotland and a few shows in the UK. Concerts for Australia and Asia are expected to be announced in the near future.
Madonna has appeared in the limelight fairly recently while performing her single "Living for Love" at this year's Grammy Awards. She also performed the single at this year's Brit Awards, the first time in 20 years, but ended up tumbling down some set stairs during the performance. Her cape from her matador costume did not release properly. In an interview with Jonathan Ross on his show that will air on March 14, Madonna told viewers that the fall was not a publicity stunt and stated that she actually received a little whiplash and hit her head. She also said that the fall had been embarrassing, calling it "a horrible nightmare" as she likes to be "amazing."
Madonna's last tour was in 2012 under the name MDNA for the release of the album with the same name. According to Rolling Stone, that tour earned the top-grossing tour of the year with a near $300 million earning.
