‘Madden NFL 16’ Latest News: Game Incorporates New Features & Patch Coming to Fix Bugs
EA Sports' latest football simulator game 'Madden NFL 16' has been received well by critics following incorporation of new features and some improvements.
Citing a report in USA Today, Latin Post states that the initial experience of the players when they start playing 'Madden NFL 16' is a demo of Super Bowl 50. In the demo, the game pits the Pittsburg Steelers against Arizona Cardinals giving players an opportunity to learn the latest Playmaker controls.
According to the report, Playmaker controls are meant for the receivers as well as the defenders. Players can choose the kind of catch their receiver will go for when a ball comes their way. The players will opt from a Possession catch, a run following catch as well as an Aggressive catch. There will be a different result depending on their choice.
While defending, players will have to select the manner in which they need to defend the ball when it is headed their way. They can choose from Ball Hawk, Play the Receiver or Swatting the ball down.
The Playmaker controls will not guarantee success either on offense or defense. In case a receiver is not in a good position or there is a bad throw, the ball is likely to fall incomplete. Defenders might opt to Play the Receiver and lose a jump ball battle, leading to a major gain for the offense.
In Connected Franchise, players will be managing an NFL team as either as a player, coach or GM. They will be provided with in-game challenges that may result in team enhancements.
Meanwhile, Madden Ultimate Team is also back. This mode allows players to collect packs of player cards with a view to pull together a team. If the players succeed in completing achievements in the game, they will be rewarded with better cards.
In addition, the new Draft Champions will let players to draw up their individual team in a 15-round NFL Draft. Once the team has been drafted, players will compete in their bid to earn Ultimate Team packs.
While Madden 16 appears to be one of the best Madden games so far, it has already experienced some bugs.
According to Gamespot, a number of errors still occur in the game, including haphazard encroachment emerging from the huddle, serious ratings regression in Franchise, broken SuperSim that gives QBs a number of carries making the rivals starting running backs, ratings being enhanced to ridiculous levels during Franchise games, custom playbooks not appearing all the time and draft classes that come in too high in certain attribute categories.
However, the good news is that a patch will possibly come to deal with these problems and bugs as well as to produce a much smoother Madden experience.
