'Madden 16' Release Date, Cover News: EA Holds Vote for Upcoming Game Cover Athlete
The options for the players to be featured on the cover of EA Games' Madden 16, are New England Tight End Rob Gronkowski, New York Giants Wide Receiver Odell Beckham Jr., Arizona Cardinals Cornerback Patrick Peterson and Pittsburgh Steelers Wide Receiver Antonia Brown.
Apparently, EA is continuing the pattern that has seen it reducing the amount of options for the cover year after year.
Last year, game players had 16 options of players to vote for. This time, EA has chosen the best of the best and will give fans of the game the four options mentioned above to choose from. The one with the most votes will be featured.
This year, fans can earn more votes by playing Madden games, including Madden Mobile.
By playing Madden Mobile, each day, you can get one vote per day, and by logging on to play in Ultimate Team in Madden 15, you will also be able to get a vote, and three more from actually playing in that mode.
The voting will be open until May 11th, when the top two players will be revealed and then have a head to head face off. The final round of voting will begin on May 13th on ESPN's site and the final winner will be shown on Sportscenter.
Many fans worry about the Madden curse, in which cover athletes chosen for the game get bad play.
Over the past few years, the curse has not proven itself substantial, but still, many fans will vote for anyone but the player on their team in order to protect them from the curse. Cast your vote for the cover athlete by May 11th.
