'Madam Secretary' Season 2, Episode 10 Recap: President Dalton, Elizabeth McCord Face Negotiations, Demands In ‘The Greater Good’
Negotiations and demands center season 2 episode 10 of the American politcal drama television series "Madam Secretary."
"Madam Secretary" season 2 episode 10 is entitled "The Greater Good." The episode opened with peace talks in Geneva, according to Entertainment Weekly. Aside from the absence of Ukraine's President, President Dalton and Elizabeth McCord appeared to see the Russian Maria Ostrov.
Things went on with bargaining talks and conditions, which they initially agreed upon. However, it looks like the agreement diverges to another path.
Episode 10 also saw Dalton approve levitating economic penalties on the state, as well as in private people, but not suspects on their terror list. Ostrov affirmed to compensate this by bringing back the supply of fuel to the east of Europe; however she had two conditions.
First, Dalton and the United States should announce that Russia was not the mastermind of the attack on Air Force One. Second, Dalton's state should issue an apology to Russia for the blackout issue that happened in Moscow.
According to Movie News Guide, Maria could be sometimes illogical, but her patriotism was intact. She could not be held responsible about the United States counterattack, as Russa was not part of the Air Force One attack.
Meanwhile, Henry McCord and Jane were set to fetch Dmitri on the corner of a street. Jane got a phone call to pass him on and they witnessed that the latter was being abducted by men. According to Latin Post, this could be the end for the Russian spy who was deprived of loyalty.
"Madam Secretary" is set to returm with episode 11, entitled "Unity Node." In the episode, McCord is set to face an emergency situation aboard the International Space Station. Interestingly, the episode's plot could be an indication of a potential shift into another chapter of the characters' lives.
"Madam Secretary" season 2 episode 11, "Unity Node," is set to return on Jan. 10, 2016.
