At the end of the last season of "Mad Men" the relationship between Don and his second wife Megan Draper had hit a deep rut. Don had refused a move to L.A. that could have jump-started Megan's career and Megan could not forgive him for it. Now it seems like Megan could be becoming more independent as her acting career takes off. How will this new found success affect her and Don's relationship? And will the season end with another matrimonial break for Don, or is their marriage salvageable?

In past seasons of "Mad Men" we've seen a seedling career as an actress for Megan fail to take off. Sometimes getting gigs through Don's industry connections, she couldn't claim the level of professional success that she felt driven to obtain. For his part Don didn't seem to take the fledgling aspirations seriously, but instead intended to exercise a petty control over her professional life. Well, according to T.V. Guide, Megan may hit the mainline to a successful acting career, leading her to a greater independence from her estranged hubby.

This could be a deal-breaker for the couple's future together, but there are other factors that also have to be considered in terms of their marital fortunes as well. For instance, now that Don Draper's infidelity with Sylvia Rosen been discovered by his daughter Sally, is it possible that she will share this indiscretion with the women in his life, most fatefully Megan?

Whatever the specific trouble they will have to face, this coming season will still be a very bumpy road for the two, but certainly for Don, who will similarly face challenges in other, non-marital arenas. The premiere of the newest and final season of "Mad Men" airs the 13^th (next Sunday), we'll have to wait to see what's in store until then.
