'Mad Max: Fury Road' To Be Released In Black-And-White Version?
Good news to all Mad Max fans! "Mad Max: Fury Road" may have another theatrical release in 2016.
According to Collider, there's going to be a black and white version of the film. The film's colorless versions turns out to be the original version according to director George Miller. It was originally planned to be included in the Blu-ray release but Warner Bros. are now considering to give the film another shot at the big screen.
"In 2016, there might also be a black-and-white version of the film, which Miller confirms was his original intent. A greyscale and silent version was leaked online in September, although it has since been removed. Mitchell says that an official version exists and could yet receive a theatrical release," "Mad Max: Fury Road" producer Doug Mitchell said according to Screen Daily.
The fans of this post-apocalyptic film would definitely watch it again in the big screen. It's a good way for Warner Bros. to make the fans happy and at the same time earn more money from the film. A lot of fans actually wouldn't care if they see the same film (but with different versions) on the big screen regularly.
The film has grossed over $375 million internationally, becoming the highest grossing film of its franchise. The film won the National Board of Review Award for Best Film.
Following the success of "Mad Max: Fury Road," the producers could really let go of all their creative juices in milking out more cash from their prized product.
