macOS Sierra News: Beta 2 Pros, Cons Leaked

With fans getting thrilled with the upcoming release of Apple's iOS 10, details on macOS Sierra have surfaced, including its advantages and disadvantages.

The Cupertino-based Apple has released the second public betas for both the iOS 10 and macOS Sierra, Engadget has learned. As per the publication, no known distinct alterations were seen on the new macOS beta; however, users are still advised to test it, if they have been trying it before it hits the market.

According to PC Mag, the macOS Sierra has a number of good points, but it still has its cons. As per the publication, the macOS allows smooth transition for most Mac devices sold between 2009 and 2010. The platform as has a flat learning curve and retains Siri as the digital assistant.

The macOS Sierra also features tabbed interface for most applications, in addition to picture-in-picture clips. Clipboard is also provided to allow file sharing between Macs and iOS devices, along with storage alternatives that allow users to keep less frequently-used data.

A notable disadvantage with macOS Sierra's beta is the risk of losing some applications. Since the tech is in its second beta phase, certain security features may still pose some threats to existing applications and apps for pending download.

About the new iOS 10, the beta allows fans to experience the Touch ID function, which can be used to unlock the device as if the user is still using the iOS 9. It is revealed that users get a vibration feedback when locking an iPhone 6s or 6s Plus and they can share their fitness status and activities using the platform's new health features.

Apple's macOS Sierra and iOS 10 are assumed to be released this year.
