Mack Brock Releases His Third Single "Into Dust," Credits Inspiration To Lysa TerKeurst's Upcoming Book
Singer-songwriter Mack Brock on Friday released his latest single "Into Dust." The song is Brock's third single as a solo artist following his exit from Elevation Worship earlier this year, following up his powerful "Greater Things," and "Heart Wide Open."
Speaking about the story behind the new song, Brock shares, "Rarely does life turn out the way we thought it would. Dreams get shattered, things fall apart, and so many times we're only left with the dust of what could have been. An ache in our hearts that things should be different."
"But our God isn't distracted when things get broken," he continues. "He sees our dust as an opportunity, not a setback."
He says the song was written out of that place, "hurt by the circumstances of life, but reminded that God breathes into our dust and makes things new. He's our maker, he's our healer."
Brock also gives credit to New York Times bestselling author Lysa TerKeurst for being a big part of the inspiration behind the song, saying he was moved after reading an early copy of the author's upcoming book releasing in November. "Into Dust" can be downloaded and streamed everywhere now, with links to most popular services available here.
Earlier this year, Brock hit the road with Rend Collective on their "The Good News Tour" making stops in 33 cities. He is currently scheduled to perform together with Phil Wickham for two nights on a "Night of Worship with Phil Wickham and Mack Brock" in Montgomery and Gadsden, Ala., on June 15 and 16 respectively.
