MacBook Pro vs. MacBook Air News: Specs, Rumors, and Release Date News
Based on speculation, it appears that Apple is planning to release a new MacBook Air and MacBook Pro laptop.
According to a report from Christian Today, these laptops will be competing directly against Microsoft's Surface Pro 4, which will be released along with Windows 10 this month.
The next MacBook Air is supposed to come in two sizes, a 13 inch and 15 inch model. The most basic version of this laptop will have 4 GB of RAM with 128 GB of storage space.
The mid range model of the computer will have 256 GB of storage space with 4 GB of RAM. The high end version of the MacBook Air will be powered with a Core i7 processor, 516 GB of storage space and 8 GB of RAM.
It has also been rumored that the Air will have a reversible Type C port, which will be compatible with both Lightning and MagSafe.
According to Gotta be Mobile, the MacBook Pro 2016 will be a much thinner design that the previous generations of the computer, and that it will have an all in one USB C port.
Both laptops are expected to come equipped with the OS X El Capitan.
Master Herald speculated that Apple is waiting for Intel to release its new Core M-based processor in order to put it into the MacBook Pro and MacBook Air.
Christian Today has said that the new MacBook Air and MacBook Pro will be announced sometime in October 2015 and then release in March 2016.
However, other outlets state that Apple consumers may become overwhelmed due to the release of the new iPhones in September.
