MacBook Pro 2016 Release Date News, Rumors: Apple Captures Notebook Segment With Updated Line?

Apple is putting out all stops in its new MacBook Pro 2016 line, according to the latest news reports. Apart from being the thinnest in the Pro lineup yet, there's a also what was described as a "touchscreen strip" running across the top of the keyboard.

This touchscreen strip will feature the function keys and Touch ID capability. That allows users to quickly gain access to the notebook using fingerprint scanner.

This new feature was reported by Bloomberg, which said that the news represents the most significant upgrade for the MacBook Pro in about four years.

But the changes couldn't just be cosmetics, based on the news shared by MacRumors which said that the MacBook Pro will be powered by Polaris 11 chipset. This change in performance will immediately be felt by people who might have tried the current 28nm chip.

Retina display will also be retained in the new MacBook Pro. There's also going to be USB-C connectivity, which would be a drastic change in the notebook line.

In terms of design, the MacBook Pro 2016 promises to be the thinnest one yet, which means that Apple will be ditching the 3.5mm headphone jack. According to MacWorld, Apple delaying the launch of notebook could be because the company wanted to launch the iPhone 7 first.

Rumors have been going around that the audio jack won't be featured in the iPhone 7. Test-driving the absence of an audio jack on the MacBook Pro 2016 might impact on the sales of the newest Apple phone.
