Macbook Pro 2015 Release Date Rumors: Apple to Launch New Laptop With Retina Display on April 10?
At the Spring Forward event held recently in San Francisco, Apple fans discovered that the company has developed a new 13-inch MacBook Pro and it is expected to be available soon. While the upcoming MacBook Pro with Retina bears a resemblance to the 2012 version of the device, it is reported to incorporate improved specs.
According to Christian Today, talking about the specs of the upcoming device, Phil Schiller of Apple Inc., recently said, "The 13-inch MacBook Pro has been updated with the latest processors, more powerful graphics, faster flash, longer battery life and the all-new Force Touch trackpad."
Meanwhile, Tech Crunch has claimed that the new 13-inch MacBook will be available in the market on April 10. Apparently, the new device will be powered by Intel's latest Broadwell-U processor, in addition to possessing a higher SSD storage speed. The upcoming MacBook Pro will also incorporate the new Force Touch trackpad.
Explaining the functioning of the Force Touch trackpad on its website, Apple states, "Force sensors detect how much pressure you're applying, and the new Taptic Engine provides a click sensation when you press anywhere on the surface." The document further reads, "The sensory capabilities of the Force Touch trackpad allow you to tell your MacBook what you want it to do, base on subtle differences in the amount of pressure you apply. This makes it possible to perform a variety of different actions in different apps, all on the same surface. And it can respond with haptic feedback you can actually feel, making your MacBook more usable and personal than ever before."
The 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina will have a more powerful battery having a longer life than the 13-inch MacBook Air or the Windows Ultrabooks. The 74.9Wh battery of the 2015 MacBook Pro is a much higher compared to the 50Wh battery of the MacBook Air. This means that the powerful battery of the upcoming MacBook model will be able to accommodate the higher resolution display and the higher CPU and graphics wattage. In addition, the battery will also enable the device to last for over 10 hours of Internet use through Wi-Fi, and 12 hours of iTunes video playback.
If the reports regarding the release of the new 2015 MacBook Pro with Retina turns out to be true, consumers will be able to purchase the device next month itself.
