MacBook Air 2017 Release Date Rumors, Specs News: Red Mark Apple's Event For Launch?

The latest rumors on the MacBook Air 2017 point to a release date of Oct. 27 during Apple's big event.

This latest speculation was based on the report from Macotakara, which claimed that the news about the MacBook Air 2017 and MacBook Pro was shared a "reliable Chinese supplier."

This wasn't the first time that the MacBook Air 2017 was rumored to be launched. Back in March 2016, also during Apple's event, it was already speculated that the refreshed laptop would be announced.

Of course, that didn't happen. Instead, Apple announced the release of the iPhone SE and the 9.7-inch iPad Pro.

But then again, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has hinted that there might not be a MacBook Air 2017 to speak off as rumors are claiming that it will be integrated into the Pro brand. Instead, the products will be launched in March next year will be the 13- and 15-inch Retina MacBook Pro 2017.

MacWorld, meanwhile, predicted that Apple will discontinue production on the 11-inch MacBook Air 2017. If it's going to release a product, it would be the 13-inch model. Nevertheless, that variant will eventually be retired.

If the analysis is wrong, Apple will likely follow its annual upgrade schedule, which means that the MacBook Air 2017 release date would be sometime in March next year at the earliest. But it could also not be discounted that the rumors about a possible launch in Q4 of 2016 might hold some water.
