MacBook Air 2016 News, Rumors: Will Apple Release a New Laptop Soon to Challenge Microsoft Surface Pro 4?

 

Apple users who want to pick up the next iteration of the Apple' MacBook Air 2016 might be in luck as new rumors have emerged about a possible early release date. Rumors were sparked after big discounted were noticed on current MacBooks.

According to Christian Post, the newest Macbook model " [is] rumored to be coming in November, with the Cupertino, California company moving its launch date up to early October from its earlier unveiling schedule in Q1 2016."

On that note, as retailers everywhere are starting to lower their prices for existing MacBooks, Apple fanatics are keeping their eyes and ears open for any news about a MacBook Air 2016 release date.

Beyond that, rumors about the upcoming laptop say that production of the devices has been increased to slate a release date just before the holiday season. As it stands, some rumors even go as far as to say the device will be unveiled one week from today, and begin to ship units by November.

Stepping into some of the specs for the device, there are a few interesting components that would surely make this device one of the greatest on the market. Apparently, some reports claim that the laptop will contain an Intel Skylake U-processor as well as pack a graphics powerhouse, the Nvidia GeForce GTX 950 GPU.

In addition to that, the Apple device will pack a Retina Display as well as Force Touch technology. It's going to come with a USB Type C port and run on the upcoming OS X El Capitan.

What's interesting about an early release date, is that the Macbook Air 2016 might be released just to combat Microsoft's upcoming Surface Pro 4, but that's neither here nor there. Last but not least, in regards to the price of this upcoming powerhouse unit, it's estimated that it will run about $899.

However, Apple fans and users should keep in mind that much of the information about this device is strictly rumor, and official word about any of the specs, release date, or price has not been announced by the Cupertino tech titan.
