Lumia 830 Release Date, Specs Rumors: New Nokia Phone Set for Sept. 4 Reveal [VIDEO]
Techies are expecting Microsoft to unveil Nokia's Lumia 830 at the press event in Berlin on September 4, just before the IFA trade fair starts. The device is also expected to launch soon after that, as an upper mid-range handset.
Recent images of the phone has been leaked by website Windows Phone Central. The images show the phone carrying the Microsoft Mobile brand in the form of a sticker placed inside the device.
Rumors circulating on the Internet say that the Lumia 830 will either have a 4.5-inch or 4.7-inch display, which means either 720p or 1080p.
According to what has been seen in the photographs, the model of the phone is RM-985 and it measures 139.4 mm x 70.7 mm x 8.5 mm. The micro USB charging port of the device is placed on the top of the smartphone close to the headphone jack.
The smartphone will sport a micro SD card slot, a dedicated camera button, LTE/ 4G capabilities, a navigation bar which is hardware based capacitive, a detachable back cover, as well as a replaceable battery.
The document made available by Anatel, a Brazilian authority, shows that the Nokia Lumia 830 has camera housing akin to that of Lumia 1020, while Windows Phone Central hints that this may denote that rumors regarding the Lumia 830 coming with a PureView camera may be true after all.
The Lumia 830 is expected to pack either a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 or 801.
As of now, it is reported that Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile will be carrying the Lumia 830, or any variant of the smartphone.
