‘Luke Cage’ Netflix Release Date: Protagonist Appears As Side Character In Jessica Jones, Coming Out In November?
"Luke Cage" will soon come out in Netflix and we will finally get to know more of the protagonist, who first appeared as a side character in "Jessica Jones."
During the earlier Netflix series, Luke Cage stayed mostly hidden and unnoticed, despite his participation in the lead heroine's missions.
The show revealed very little of his past and we were always curious why he was avoiding attention.
Even after falling under Kilgrave's control and being revealed as a superhuman, he managed to stay down.
In the upcoming series, which will now center on the mysterious superhuman, Luke will try to keep his low profile, but photos (which the source website has now deleted) suggest his disguise is about to be blown up.
Three weeks ago, actor Mike Colter was spotted on the series' set and it seems that his character Luke will take on a bunch of NYPD officers, who were all seen pointing guns to the central character.
Blood stains were evident in the actor's shirt so it looks like Luke is in serious trouble.
Luke inched closer to the authorities, overpowers them, and knocks them unconscious. He takes one of them off the street so they don't get hit by passing vehicles.
Finally, Luke disappears from the scene disguising as a police officer, reports Cinemablend.
In the comic pages, Luke Cage, a character in his own series who also joins other characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is a convict who escaped jail after undergoing an experiment which gained him super strength and indestructible skin.
He tried living a quiet life until he met retired superhero turned detective Jessica Jones. His superb abilities gained him attention. Soon enough, the authorities identified him as a fugitive.
The plot of "Luke Cage" is very mind boggling because he fights villains while running away from the law enforcers.
"Luke Cage" premieres on Netflix in the second half of 2016. Unconfirmed reports suggest it will be shown in November.
The series is one of the four MCU titles slated to be seen on Netflix.
