The LSU Tigers will battle the Missouri Tigers on January 8 at the Mizzou Arena in Columbia, Missouri.

The LSU Tigers (11-2) will try to lengthen their remarkable winning streak to nine games when they clash with their SEC foes, the Missouri Tigers, at the Mizzou Arena.

LSU recently crushed the Savannah State Tigers by a final score of 75-59 on Saturday night, where LSU forward Jordan Mickey had 24 points, 14 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and 5 blocks in the victory.

"We are 11-2 right now. For 12 of those games, I've been pleased with our team in terms of the effort they have given. The first few minutes tonight, we probably weren't as engaged and had the edge that we've had," said LSU head coach to reporters.

"You're going to have some of those nights. The plus side for this team is this was still a victory by a wide margin of score. Our guys did a good job picking it up in the second half."

Meanwhile, the Missouri Tigers (6-7) are looking to stretch their winning streak to two games when they defend their home court against the LSU Tigers on Thursday night.

Missouri recently defeated the Lipscomb Bisons by a final score of 72-60 on January 3, where Tigers forward Keanau Post had 7 points and 10 rebounds which sparked his team to victory.

"I didn't play him the last two games because I didn't think he had been playing well enough," said Missouri head coach Kim Anderson to reporters.

"And he never said a word. He never changed his expression."
