The Los Angeles Lakers will battle the Chicago Bulls on January 29 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.

The Bulls (30-17) are looking to extend their current winning streak to two games when they clash with Lakers on Thursday night.

"Anybody can get momentum or anybody can get the feeling they can beat anybody when you beat a team like this," said Chicago point guard Derrick Rose to reporters after he scored 30 points versus the Warriors.

Previously, the Bulls defeated the Golden State Warriors by a final score of 113-111 in overtime on January 27 after Chicago power forward Pau Gasol totaled 18 points, 16 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 blocks in the victory.

"We feel comfortable with Derrick (Rose) taking responsibility in those moments," said Gasol to reporters.

"He definitely doesn't hide and he's very aggressive."

Meanwhile, the Lakers (12-34) are looking to stop a possible 10 game losing streak when they host the Bulls at the Staples Center.

Previously, Los Angeles lost to the Washington Wizards by a final score of 98-92 on Tuesday night after Lakers shooting guard Wayne Ellington had 15 points and 13 rebounds in the defeat.

"We were moving the ball, getting to the rim and getting easy shots," said Lakers point guard Jordan Clarkson to reporters after he scored 18 points in the game.

"In the third quarter, we started missing shots, made a couple of turnovers, and they just started playing in transition. John Wall is hard to stop when that happens. He's fast. He's one of the fastest players I've ever played against."

In other Laker news, Kobe Bryant is expected to have season ending surgery that would repair a torn rotator cuff in his right shoulder on January 28.
