The Boston Celtics will clash with the Los Angeles Clippers on January 19 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.

The Clippers (27-14) are trying to win two consecutive games when they host the Celtics at the Staples Center.

Previously, the Clippers defeated their Pacific division rivals the Sacramento Kings by a final score of 117-108 on January 17 after Los Angeles small forward Matt Barnes had 26 points, 10 rebounds and 3 steals in the victory.

"I saw we were struggling there in the first half so I had to pick it up for my team," said Barnes to reporters.

"In the third quarter we were able to open it up a little bit. We had a run there that really got us going."

In addition, Clippers star power forward Blake Griffin Blake Griffin echoed his teammate's sentiments regarding the recent win against the Kings.

"I was just doing what I could to get us the win, get us back on track," said Griffin to reporters after he scored 30 points in the game.

"They came at us, but we got some stops to get a flow. Against the Cavs we didn't do that."

Meanwhile, the Celtics (13-25) attempts to avoid a likely three game losing streak when they battle the Clippers on Monday night.

The Celtics were recently defeated by the Chicago Bulls by a final score of 119-103 on January 16 after Celtics power forward Jared Sullinger totaled 20 points and 8 rebounds in a losing effort.

"It's just that we give up a couple easy buckets and then they may make tough ones after that because they're comfortable after the previous ones," said Boston center Tyler Zeller to reporters.

 "So we've just got to do a better job of challenging every shot and making every shot as difficult as possible."
