'Longmire' Season 4 Cast News: New Actresses Join Show, Series Premiere Likely This Fall

While the production of 'Longmire' Season 4 is still underway, fans are eager to know how the story of this crime drama television series will turn out in the new season on Netflix. In fact, the cast of the show have been revealing information regarding the progress of 'Longmire' Season 4 on social media; the producers of the show continue to maintain their silence of its official premiere date.

Christian Today reports that after A&E cancelled 'Longmire' after its third season following demographic differences between the network and the show runners, Netflix picked up the show based on Craig Johnson's best-selling crime thriller novels for its fourth season. In fact, instead of cancelling the show, producers Warner Horizon Television made a decision to offer 'Longmire' to other networks as there was a strong demand from the fans to continue the show.

Soon after picking up the show, Netflix issued a press release that also offered a synopsis of 'Longmire' Season 4. The official synopsis of the show released by Netflix reads, "Season four of 'Longmire' picks up moments after season three's exciting finale. Walt Longmire (series star Robert Taylor), having found out who was behind the murder of his wife, succumbs to his darker impulses and takes off in pursuit of the killer with murder on his mind. Meanwhile, Branch Connally (Bailey Chase), the deputy who Walt fired for erratic, violent behavior, believes he has already figured out who the real culprit is. But during his confrontation with this suspected killer, a gun goes off. Now the audience will finally learn what happened, and whether Walt can be stopped before he makes a fatal choice."

Meanwhile, in addition to the regular cast members of the series, including Robert Taylor and Bailey Chase, the show has reportedly roped in Ally Walker from 'Sons of Anarchy' recently to appear in 'Longmire' Season 4. The actress will join Terry Camillieri as another new member of Big Sky County.

According to latest report, the cast and crew of 'Longmire' are currently filming the eighth episode for the upcoming series. This suggests that only two episodes are to be filmed before the production wraps up shooting the Season 4.

As of now, it is expected that 'Longmire' season 4 will premiere in this fall.
