‘Longmire’ Season 4 News: Filming Underway in Mexico, Actress Cassidy Freeman Happy to Work with Netflix

During the past few months, cast and crew of the crime television drama series 'Longmire' have conquered many obstacles simply to get the series renewed for Season 4. Following the renewal of the series by Netflix in November, the production team has been trying its best to make the upcoming season worthy of the network as well as the expectations of the dedicated fans.

According to Christian Today, earlier in April, the cast and crew of 'Longmire' confirmed that the shooting for Season 4 episodes have already commenced on location in New Mexico. As usual, most cast members have been posting photos from the sets on their social media accounts with a view to update the fans regarding the latest developments. Cassidy Freeman, who portrays the character of Cady Longmire, revealed that they have already completed shooting of episodes 1 and 2.

She took to her Twitter handle on April 11, to inform the fans, "Ep3 of S4 of #Longmire starts filming on Mon...time is flying...stop and smell the flowers...until @netflix drops this season..then watch!"

In a brief chat with CarterMatt, Freeman also talked about 'Longmire' Season 4 and what it felt like working in the show's new home, Netflix.

Talking to CaterMatt, Freeman agreed, "We're currently shooting episode 3, and although that seems like its still early, I know it goes by so quickly. Time flies when you're having fun! And although the bones of this show will always be the same: great stories, strong authentic characters, culture, conflict, etc...."

Referring to the show's new home, Netflix, she remarked that it "feels bigger now," and explained that it was another perquisite of being in the new network.

According to Freeman, "Although the fans may not love that they have to wait a little bit longer for the season; it gives us more freedom and lets us craft the season as a 10 hour movie. Netflix is such a cool platform because of this. They are also real excited about the show and eager for us to let us spread our wings. I think the fans will feel fuller episodes ... more organic feeling stories and no commercials!"

Considering the rapid pace at which the first two episodes of the new season were filmed, it appears that the cast and crew of 'Longmire' are working very hard to complete the episodes done on time. What is more, as always, everyone is doing an excellent job keeping the fans abreast with information about the new season.
