Lindsay Lohan News: 'Mean Girls' Star Takes Break from Hollywood, Plans to Stay in London
After a hectic few months, Lindsay Lohan posted pictures of herself on Twitter relaxing in luxurious French Polynesia for the holidays. "It's important to take some alone time for yourself. Love yourself before you can love anyone else," said Lohan over social media.
Fans of the 'Mean Girls' actress were excited to see the star lounging on the beaches wearing designer swimwear, however, there's some unfortunate news as well. Apparently, the actress will not be returning to the United States anytime soon, as she is enjoying her time in other parts of the world too much.
For the past nine months, Lindsay has spent her time living in England. Although she moved there to work on a play, the 28-year-old star has discovered that London, England is a great place to mature. Recently, Lohan has declared her plans on making London her permanent home.
"I needed to grow up and London is a better place for me to do that than anywhere else," Lindsay says after her brief visit to her old hometown, Los Angeles, "I won't live in L.A. again," Lindsay added.
She remarks that L.A. is all about the gossip and the nightly parties, and the childhood star needed England so that she could "grow up."
At this point, Lindsay hopes to have more opportunities to act in plays in England. The good news is that Lindsay has taken a role in 'Speed-the-Plow'. Al Pacino, a guide and mentor to Lindsay in England, helped her develop a pre-performance and post-performance routine. Lindsay says that she also learned how to be more reliable, going on-stage even when she is sick.
Better than any holiday gift, Lindsay's break from Hollywood seems to have shown the star how to be more in touch with herself.
