Lindsay Lohan News: Actress Completes Probation after Seven Years

Lindsay Lohan, everyone's favorite child star, has been in and out of the courtroom for the last eight years. Now, though, she can finally say so long to her probation.

On Thursday, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge, Mark Young ruled that she has completed her compulsory community service hours, which she was sentenced to as a result of a reckless driving case in 2012.

In a statement to People magazine, Lohan expressed her thanks to the community centers which helped her to complete her sentence successfully.

"I am very grateful to those at Brooklyn Community Services, Duffield and The Ali Forney Center for welcoming me into their services and allowing me to finish my court ordered Community Service hours," said Lohan in the statement.

She also extended a thank you to her lawyer, Shawn Holley, as well as everyone who supported her during this time.

In court on Thursday, Judge Mark Young also praised Lohan's attorney, Holley.

He has represented Lohan in previous court cases, and the Judge commended him for getting Lohan to complete her service hours in the last few weeks.

She definitely cut it a little bit close. Earlier this month, 28 year old Lohan's lawyers confessed to the judge that while Lohan had 125 hours left to complete, she had only logged a mere 10.

She was ordered to complete 125 hours in February. That time frame left Lohan with only 16 days to finish the remaining 115 hours of community service.

Now it's time for Lohan to celebrate, and she has begun, as she was spotted heading to Nice, France to meet up with friends.
