Lil Wayne Tour 2015 Bus Shooting News: Gunshots Fired at Concert Crew Buses on Highway After Show
Reports are claiming that shots were fired at tour buses part of the concert crew for popular rap star Lil Wayne, after an Atlanta performance, according to a report by CBS affiliate WGCL.
Atlanta police said that the tour buses were driving on highway I-285 outside Atlanta around 3:30 am when the buses were shot multiple times in a drive-by shooting. No one was injured, according to the report.
Cobb County police spokesperson, speaking to Reuters said that there are no suspects and nobody was anybody injured during the firing. The police also don't know the movie behind the shooting.
According to Reuters, about a dozen people were aboard the two buses together when the pre-dawn shooting occurred on Interstate 285 near the junction of Interstate 75, northwest of Atlanta.
According to TMZ, Wayne performed Saturday night at the Compound nightclub in Atlanta. TMZ has also reported that the passengers on the buses included executive's of Wayne's label, Young Money, and other recording artists, including Lil Twist and Hood.
Many reports have said that the witnesses present provided a limited description of the two vehicles suspected to be involved, a Corvette and an SUV.
TMZ also reported that immediately after the act, the bus was driven to a nearby hotel. It was then that someone from the entourage called the police. Law enforcement officials arrived on the scene shortly after.
