Christina Milan and Lil Wayne have called it quits after a year of dating, according to Entertainment Tonight. There has been no comment from Milian's publicity team, nor Wayne's representative about the split.

"She's in New York right now for Fashion Week, having fun and leaning on her girlfriends", a close friend of Milian shared with People.

Perhaps to mark the breakup, Milian showed off a stylish new haircut on Instagram last Thursday.

The relationship began last July amidst rumors that the pair was getting close. They were seen holding hands at the ESPY Awards one month after Milian ended her engagement to Jas Prince, music producer.

The speculation was then confirmed by Milan, 33, in an interview with Entertainment Tonight: "There's nothing better than that feeling of that new chemistry, when you're so into someone you really could care less about what anybody else has to think."

At the time, the singer was very vocal about her feelings for the 32-year-old Grammy award-winning rapper, who also serves as CEO for her record label, Young Money.

She frequently gushed about how she felt for him. In one interview she admitted:

"I feel so inspired by the relationship that I'm in. It's like that careless, hopeless-romantic love where it's like 'Oh my gosh, I will do anything for you.' It's just incredible. "

TheE!reality star has a 5 -and-a-half-year-old daughter, Violet Madison, together with The-Dream, rapper-producer, to whom she was married for 10 months in 2009.

Milian, whose 'docu-soap', Christina Milian Turned Up airs on E!, has suffered a spate of bad luck in the past couple of months. Just last month her sister Danielle Milian tragically lost her baby son who was born with a rare birth defect called omphalocele.
