Liam Neeson News, Rumors: 'Taken 3' Actor to Retire Lead Action Roles in Two Years?
It's no secret actor Liam Neeson's name has been highly prominent in the Hollywood action movie scene.
He's had a great run these last couple years with the success of his 'Taken' franchise, along with films such as, 'Non-Stop', 'A Walk Among The Tombstones', and his most recent project, 'Run All Night'.
However with all great things, there must come an end, and in a recent interview with Collider about his new film, the 62-year-old actor spoke on how long he expects to stick with his action roles:
"Maybe two more years. If God spares me and I'm healthy. But after that, I'll stop [the action] I think...The success of certainly the Taken films, Hollywood seems to see me in a different light. I get sent quite a few action-oriented scripts, which is great. I'm not knocking it. It's very flattering. But there is a limit, of course."
Whether this comes as good or bad news to his fans, its nice to hear the actor taken this in strong consideration and not jeopardizing his integrity as an actor. As most people may or may not know, Neeson has been a highly accomplished actor before 'Taken' and is more than capable than just playing "the man with a particular set of skills."
