Liam Hemsworth of The Mockingjay - Part 2 fame recently joined Instagram and was an instant hit with his first picture, captioned, "Deeply in love with Miss Piggy."

This was a hint that Miss Piggy was available following her breakup with Kermit the Frog, and was an instant on the social media world, touted as one of the best tweets, according to MTV.

The inaugural Instagram of the The Hunger Games Trilogy star caught fire and garnered him 246,000 followers on his Instagram within 24 hours. The numbers are still rising.

Hemsworth, who originally hails from Australia, tweeted an even cheekier second feed: "Spent Friday with the most beautiful girl in the world. Kermit, #SorryNotSorry,"

Considered one of Hollywood's hottest bachelors, Hemsworth is pictured with Miss Piggy, looking smitten by her.

The loud-mouthed long-time girlfriend of The Muppet's furry green star, dressed in a satin blue dress and white gloves looks equally adoringly at him, reported Cashews.

The tongue-in -cheek Instagram picture serves as a newsflash to highlight Hemsworth's entry into social media. It also references the short time he will spend with The Muppets.

Hemsworth will unite with his furry 'love' in The Muppets, the prime-time comedy created by the late Jim Henson.

He is one of many celebrities who have visited The Muppets over the years, including Reese Witherspoon, Elizabeth Banks and Imagine Dragons.

Liam, who is the younger brother of Chris Hemsworth, will play himself in his TV screen debut.
