The LG V20 and the iPhone 7 Plus both have dual lens, and in this article we try to compare their cameras.

First, let's make a comparison of their processors and graphics. The LG V20 runs the Qualcomm MSM8996 Snapdragon 820 quad-core 2.23GHz while the iPhone 7 runs the Apple A10 Fusion quad core 2x2.15 GHz Kryo & 2x1.6 GHz Kryo. The former features Adreno 530 GPU and the latter features the six-core graphics.

As to the camera comparison between the LG V20 and iPhone 7:

The LG smart phone has a dual 16 megapixel (29mm, f/1.8) and 8 MP on the front. It also has laser autofocus with LED flash. The iPhone 7 has a dual 12 MP cameras (28mm, f/1.8 and 56mm, f/2.8) with quad LED flash, 2x optical zoom and phase detection autofocus.

The other features of the LG V20 include geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR, simultaneous 4K video and image recording. The iPhone 7 also has geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR and panorama.

In terms of video recording, the comparison between the LG V20 and iPhone 7 is a virtual wash. They both record at 2160p at 30 frames per second. But the Apple smart phone is also capable at recording 1080p at 30, 60 and 120fps, compared to the LG V20's 1080p only at 30fps.

The secondary video, however, is where the iPhone 7 trumps the LG V20. While the former records at 7 MP (f/2.2, 32mm) and 1080p at 30fps, 720p at 240fps, as well as face detection, HDR and panorama, the latter can only record at 5 MP (f/1.9).

Of course, there are other factors other than the camera comparison when you want to buy a smart phone. The iPhone 7 Plus is priced at $769 while the LG V20 is actually much more expensive at $799.99, if this report is to be believed.
