LG V20 Specs, Release Date Rumors: Only One Front Camera For V10 Successor?

A leaked rendering of the new LG V20 revealed that there's only one front camera for the successor of the very successful V10. This new modification couldn't have been foreseen by any of the rumors related to the flagship.

The dual camera setup has been one of the most unique features of the LG V10 so on the surface, it doesn't make any sense for this feature to go missing. One of the cameras is fixed at 120 degrees, and the other one is 80 degrees angle. The user can choose from the two cameras, or take simultaneous photos.

The Android Authority kickstarted the rumors when it published the rendering images of the new LG V20, including the absence of the secondary camera. But it appears as if the company will retain the modules as shown by the release button found in the rendered image.

As to the specs, the rumors and the news sites are silent on the features of the LG V20. At this point, it seems likely that the new flagship will either have a 5.5-inch or 5.7-inch quad HD display. It will also probably be powered by a Snapdragon 820 processor with 4 GB of RAM. The battery life is also reported to be average at 4000mAh.

The rumors claimed that the LG V20 will be the first phone in the LG lineup to be equipped with the Android Nougat.

For now, the news and rumors pointed to a release date of Sept. 6. But it won't be commercially available probably until Oct. 1.
