LG V20 Release Date, News & Update: When Is New Smartphone Arriving To Europe?

The LG V20 appeared to have made a good first impression among tech sites, but when it was launched in the US, there's no news about being released in Europe. Is the company ignoring the huge European market?

This is nothing new, of course, since the LG V10 also had a delayed launch in Europe, and the run was even limited because to the laggard response. One of the issues was fundamental and that's because Europeans apparently don't like large screens for which the LG V20 is plenty with its 5.7-inch display.

A report from Android Authority quoted LG spokesperson Ken Hong as saying that as of now there's no news from their end about shipping the LG V20 to Europe.

"The initial launch of LG V20 will involve markets in North America, Asia, the Middle East and Africa. Whether the V20 will be offered in other regions is still undecided," he said. "We're hopeful, but we're not making any promises."

If indeed that's true, then Europe is missing out on a pretty good phone as the first impressions on the LG V20 on tech news sites have been favorable, although admittedly it's an acquired taste.

PCMag noted the secondary display of the LG V20 which makes it unique among the other phones in the market today. It's performance also doesn't disappoint, which makes it in line with the Samsung Galaxy S7.

Meanwhile, Tech Radar said that the LG V20 seemed very ambitious, just like the V10 in the sense that it's not following the other smartphones in the market today. And it said that's only good news for the end consumers.
