LG V10 Release Date News: New Device Expected at Special Event on Oct. 1
If latest reports are to be believed, South Korean tech titan LG Electronics is preparing for something special on October. LG is still mum on what tech enthusiasts can expect from the scheduled New York event, just inviting users to "save the date." However, various media outlets are speculating that the upcoming event has something to do with the launch of a flagship device.
According to Christian Today, for quite sometime now, the rumor mill is abuzz with pieces of information that indicate that the existence of the LG V10, which is supposed to be another premium offering from the South Korean tech giant, opposite the LG G4.
The difference between the V10 and the 5.5-inch device, which was released in April, is some kind of an "auxiliary ticker screen" that is situated above the display, supposedly developed to display notifications, text messages and the user's RSS feed.
However, media outlets also point out the apparent movie theme of the Oct. 1 event invitation sent out by LG, which has given rise to speculations that if the LG V10 will be the star of the show, it may possibly sport some video upgrades or additional special features relating to its visual feature.
In fact, the purported device has been spotted in the wild several times, giving the media outlets enough material to develop a somewhat concrete list of specs. This includes a 5.7-inch Quad HD display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, which are same as those on the LG G4. The upcoming device is also rumored to offer 3 GB RAM and 64 GB storage space, which is expandable. This, in fact, should offer enough room for photos, videos and selfies captured by the device's 16-megapixel rear-facing camera, complete with dual-LED flash and laser auto-focus, and its 5-megapixel front-facing snapper.
Now, it remains to be seen if the LG V10 will be the showpiece of the Oct. 1 event, but no matter what LG has in store for consumers and the tech world, it will certainly be something to hope for.
