LG V10 News: T-Mobile Update Promises Software Stability & Security Features
T-Mobile has rolled out the new security update for the LG V10, according to the latest news report.
The news was shared on the T-Mobile support website which revealed that starting Aug. 8, the LG V10 will get an automatic and mandatory update to Android 6.0.1/Software H90120j.
The new software promises new features for the users as well as improvements in Google Security while ensuring overall software stability.
You can get the update over-the-air between Aug. 8 and Aug. 28. Just wait for the notification from your phone if the gadget is ready to update. Just download and install the software Android 6.0.1.
To check if you are updated, go to the Home screen, then click on Apps and then tap Settings. Switch to list view if you are using the tab view. Find the "SYSTEM" and click on About Phone. Tap the Software info and look at your own version. If it's H90120j, then you are already updated. If not, wait for the prompt.
However, LG V10 owners can only get the security update if they have Wi-Fi connection, at least 50% battery life and enough storage. The size of the software is said to be 459 MB.
Now there are rumors that the successor LG V20 is now in the pipeline, and the launch date was pegged at Sept. 8.
The security update from T-Mobile is good news for LG V10 owners especially since one of the complaints about the phone is its backward software, aside from being quite expensive, of course.
