LG K8 Specs and Price: New Addition To ‘K’ Lines Target Budget-Conscious Buyers?
After it was revealed in the CES 2016, LG Electronics has announced the release date of the K8 and K5, which will be rolled out in Asia, Middle East, Africa, Soviet Republics and Latin America starting this week.
Juno Cho, LG Electronics CEO, said in the LG Newsroom Press release that the launch of the two new models is still in line with their goal of delivering the best products at the most affordable cost.
"The K8 and K5 will be fantastic choices for anyone who is seeking a smartphone with great looks, great looks, at a great price," he said.
Available in three colors -Gold, Titan and Silver- the LG K8 features "smooth, curved edges as a result of its 2.5D Arc Glass." A secure grip on the back cover ensures that the device won't slip on consumers' hands.

In line with the release date, LG also revealed the features of the K8, which is touted to be "feature-rich" with an "advanced camera" (8MP for the main snapper and 5 MP for the front camera).
The 5-inch device is run on Android 0 Marshmallow with 1.3Ghz Quad-Core chipset paired with 1.5 GB or 1 GB of RAM. The removable battery has 2,125 mAh capacity while connectivity includes the Wi-Fi 802.11 b, g, n; Bluetooth 4.2 and a USB 2.0.
But CNET claimed that based on the specs of the LG K8, it's unlikely that the device is going to hit US shores, which would be bad news considering its price point would make it very attractive for American consumers.
