LG G6 Release Date, News, Specs Rumors: New Flagship Set For Early 2017 Launch?

Due to the weak sales of the LG G5, fans are already looking forward to the LG G6 release date as news and rumors continue to come out on the latest smart phone from the company.

Although there's no word on the release date for the LG G6, TechRadar pointed out that it's a good possibility the next flagship would be launched in the first half of 2017. The LG G4 was announced in April 2015 and the LG G5 was launched in February this year.

The South Korean company reported in the first quarter another operating loss. That was three consecutive quarters that the sales were in the red, which lead to the shakeup in management of its mobile division business. In Q2 of this year, it only shipped about 2.2 million, below the anticipated 3 million.

Hopefully, the news and rumors of the LG G6 will pan out, particularly on the release date of the smart phone.

According to the report, the specs of the LG G6 include a 5.6-inch display with native 4K resolution. It will reportedly also have an octa-core processor which is clocked at 3.0 GHz, plus the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 830 processor, and the rumored 5GB of RAM.

Those kinds of specs for the LG G6 makes one think that it's preparing for VR support. There should be more details as the release date draws near for the flagship.

Watch out for more LG G6 news and rumors, which will be published here when we get our hands on them.
