LG G4 S News: GFXBench Reveals LG to Launch New Affordable Handset with Snapdragon 615 [VIDEO]

If a recent image leak on the GFXBench benchmark test site is any indication, South Korean tech giant LG Electronics is preparing to launch a mid-range version of LG G4, dubbed as the LG G4 S. Some specifications of the upcoming handset were revealed through the benchmark test website, reports IBTimes.

While LG is yet to reveal the specifications and official release date of the upcoming LG G4 S, GSM Arena says the device will be launched soon. According to reports, the device will boast a 5.2-inch display, packed with 1,920 x 1,080 pixels screen resolution. This budget-friendly smartphone will be powered by an octa-core, 64-bit (Qualcomm Snapdragon 615) Cortex-A53 processor, while the graphics will be provided by Adreno 405.

The LG G4 S will come equipped with 16 GB of built-in internal memory storage capacity, which can be expanded further via a and microSD card. In addition, the device will be supported by 2GB of RAM configuration. The LG G4 S will run on the latest Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS, when launched.

In the camera front, the LG G4 S will sport an 8 megapixel rear-facing shooter with LED flash and HDR support and come with a 5 megapixel front-facing snapper for selfies. In addition to the standard connectivity options such as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, the device will also support NFC.

Meanwhile, there are reports that LG Electronics is currently working on another handset named LG G Pro 3. According to GSM Arena, this handset is expected to be a premium phablet packed with a 6.0-inch display and QHD screen resolution and it is like to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset, and 4 GB of RAM configuration will back the hardware components.
