A document spotted online recently hinted that the South Korean tech firm LG Electronics is currently working on its latest flagship smartphone - LG G4. The document also suggested that most probably the device will be coming to AT&T, possibly in May.
According to Christian Post, recently an RDF file showing an LG smartphone bearing model number of LG-H810 was leaked on the Internet. However, as of now, there is no confirmation that the leaked document pertains to the LG G4, which tech enthusiasts have been waiting for eagerly for some time now. Nevertheless, some reports claimed that it was the photo of an LG G4 variant meant for launch with the U.S. carrier AT&T.
Reports further said that the device will come with a quad HD screen rendering 1440 x 2560 pixel resolutions. This apart, no additional specs or features of the purported smartphone were disclosed.
It is reported that another document pertaining to the purported LG G4 was spotted in the website of GeekBench, offering some hints of what could be inside the hood of the device. The smartphone in the benchmark website carried the model number F510L, which suggests that it could be that of another model of the device.
The listing in the website states that the upcoming smartphone will be equipped with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor. The listing also speculated that the device will run on Google's latest Android 5.0.1 Lollipop operating system. However, it is possible that LG could still be waiting for a further stable version of the Lollipop.
According to most recent rumors, the purported LG G4 will boast a 16-megapixel rear camera - a major leap from the LG G3's 13-megapixel shooter. However, this is not something that would provide any additional thrill to the customers, because already several smartphones are available with this particular spec.
Earlier reports suggested that LG Electronics would unveil the LG G4 at the Mobile World Congress in March in Barcelona. Now, rumors suggest that, as per the company's release pattern, the smartphone is likely to be released to May.
