LG G4 Pro Specs & Release Date Rumors: LG G4 Plus-Sized Handset to Come Out in October?

Even before LG Electronics launched its high-powered 2015 flagship smartphone, the LG G4, rumors about a plus-sized version of the popular device dubbed as the LG G4 Pro flooded the Internet. Recently, some unbelievable rumors regarding the specs of purported device have come from China, which need to be taken with a large grain of salt.

Citing a report in Chinese website Weibo, Latin Post states that the purported LG G4 Pro will certainly be released in 2015. According to Weibo, it will be unveiled in October and reportedly feature a 5.8-inch display screen, rendering a 2K (1440 x 2560p) resolution.

The report found on the Chinese website also claims that the purported device will come with 4GB of RAM, an internal storage option of 32GB or 64GB, which can possibly be expanded via a microSD card, as in the case of the LG G4.

There are rumors that the device will be incorporating a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset with a view to avoid the overheating issues related to the Snapdragon 810 as well as the under-powering the device by Snapdragon 808. However, this part of the report seems to be somewhat unbelievable, as it is not yet certain whether or not Qualcomm will be releasing the Snapdragon 820 SoC by the time the purported LG G4 Pro is said to be released.

In addition to this, latest rumors claimed that the purported device from LG will sport a primary 27 megapixel rear camera alongside an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. According to Latin Post, even this is something very unlikely for the South Korean tech titan, which already received lots of critical acclaim for its 16-megapixel primary shooter on the recently released LG G4.

Meanwhile, Phone Arena casually mentioned that "an all-metal body is confirmed" for the upcoming device. If this is ture, it will mean that LG Electronics will require redesigning its future smartphones, manufacturing process, hardware priorities, as well as build materials following the release of the plastic-backed LG G4.

All these seem very unbelievable. Nevertheless, tech enthusiasts will need to wait till October to see what is in store for them from LG. Till then, the above aspects of the purported device can provide some food for thought.
