LG G4 Release Date, Specs Details: Leather-Clad Smartphone with Premium Features Launches
South Korean tech giant LG Electronics has finally unveiled its highly-anticipated flagship smartphone - the LG G4.
Launching the device at an even in London on Tuesday, LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company CEO and president Juno Cho said, "We are living up to our promise of 'Innovation for a Better Life' with a fashionable, premium smartphone that is more focused on delivering a balanced user experience that can compete with the best of the best."
Cho further said, "We wanted to give consumers a truly human-centric device that combined the analog sensibilities with technologies that delivered real world performance. From the design to the camera to the display to the UX, this is the most ambitious phone we've ever created."
IB Times reports that the just launched LG G4 shows off Slim-Arc design language that runs throughout its body, which is highlighted by a display with a delicate curvature. In addition, the new smartphone will be available in handcrafted, genuine full grain leather in six color variants.
Apart from the leather cover, the other USP of the LG G4 includes its feature-rich 16MP primary rear camera. The camera features a wide F1.8 aperture lens that permits 80 percent more light to reach the sensor. In order to augment the photography experience under low-light conditions, the Korean tech company has incorporated OIS 2.0, which enhances the performance of the improved OIS+ two-fold by expanding the assortment of image stabilization from one degree to two degrees on the X and Y-axis in addition to adding a third axis. All these make the LG G4 one of the top-notch camera phones in the industry. In addition, the LG G4 also sports an 8MP front-facing snapper for selfies.
Other predetermined features of the handset comprise a 5.5-inch QHD screen with Quantum Display technology. The device runs on Google's latest Android 5.1 Lollipop OS, and packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 series CPU, 3GB RAM, 32GB inbuilt memory, which is expandable, and a 3000 mAh battery.
Release Date Details
On April 29, LG will commence the global roll-out of the LG G4 in Korea and it will subsequently be available on approximately 180 carriers across the world. Prices as well as carrier availability will be announced locally in every market.
