LG G4 Beat Specs News: Newly Released LG G4 Offers 8 GB Storage
If you are attracted to the style and utility of the G4 but need something that is easier on your wallet, LG has a new phone that may be of interest to you.
The G4 Beat is the cheaper alternative and the sequel to the G3 Beat from last year. Consumers will have to compromise a bit to get the lower price, and it may not be so easy to decide whether those compromises are worth it.
The company has not yet said how much the model will cost, although the phone will be available for purchase on some markets by later this month.
The screen on the G4 Beat is probably one of the best in the mid range phone market. It is a 5.2 inch 1080 pixel IPS panel. The processor is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 with a top speed of 1.7 GHz and a quad core 64 bit architecture.
However, after these specifications, we begin to see the areas of compromise. For instance, the RAM on the phone is only 1.5 GB and there is only 8 GB of storage with no mention of external storage possibilities.
The battery is slightly small, with 2300mAh, but it is replaceable. The camera that you get on the G4 Beat will depend on where it is purchased.
Some Latin American models will get a 13 megapixel camera, while everywhere else, the camera will only by 8 megapixels.
The front facing camera on both models in 5 megapixels and the manual mode software from LG is included.
The G4 Beat will be running Android 5.1.1 from the beginning as well.
