Till recently, the LG GPro 3 seemed to be a pipe dream, as the South Korean tech titan was concentrating more on its flagship device - the LG G4. According to Mobi Picker, now that the LG G4 has been released, the company has started work on its upcoming purported phablet - LG G Pro 3.

According to a report in IB Times, it is believed that the LG G Pro 3 will be a phablet and not a smartphone, having a large 6-inch display, which will be harmonized with a QHD screen resolution. It is reported that the purported device will be powered by the forthcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC and will host 4 GB of RAM configuration ensuring that its internal components run efficiently. The LG Pro 3 is said to run on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS.

According to GSM Arena, a multi-window feature can also be expected in the upcoming device.

It is being speculated that the LG G Pro 3 will come with 32 GB of internal storage capacity, which will be expandable via a microSD card slot. In addition, the upcoming LG handset is expected to boast a 20.7-megapixel rear-facing camera unit, akin to that of the Sony Xperia Z3.

Meanwhile, GSM Arena reports that it is likely the sensor unit of the device could be the 10:7 Toshiba sensor - seen in the HTC One M9, instead of the omnipresent Sony sensor. In addition, the device will feature an 8-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video chatting.

It is rumored that the LG G Pro 3 will incorporate a fingerprint sensor. According to GSM Arena, the fingerprint sensor is likely to be located on the rear side of the device, close to the camera unit and the control layout.

Considering the larger display of the handset, it is likely that the LG G Pro 3 will be priced around $790. GSM Arena further states that the device is expected to be released sometime during 2015 end. However, LG Electronics is yet to come out with an official announcement regarding the LG G Pro 3 specifications, price or release date.
