LG G Flex 2 vs Samsung Galaxy Note Edge Comparison: Specs and Features Review - Which Phablet Wins in 2015?

It seems two South Korean tech manufacturers will be competing with each other to dominate the phablet market in the year ahead. While Samsung has already launched the Galaxy Note Edge, it is expected that its rival LG will announce the G Flex 2 at the ongoing 2015 Consumers Electronics Show (CES), in Las Vegas.

According to Christian Today, LG G Flex 2 comes with curved screen display and is likely to make a significant dent in Samsung's hold on the phablet market. However, what remains to be seen is whether the device will be able to offer stiff competition to the Galaxy Note Edge, as a lot will all depend on the features and specs of the upcoming LG device.

The Galaxy Note Edge became widely popular owing to its screen, which extends to the right side of the device. On the other hand, it is reported that the LG G Flex 2 will sport a concave-shaped screen display.

At the end of 2014, a photo tweeted by Qualcomm forced the LG G Flex 2 out onto tech website headlines. The photo showed a device powered by its Snapdragon 800 chipset. Immediately, the tweet drew the attention of several tech news websites and many of them identified the device to be an LG product.

In fact, many of them even speculated the device to be the purported G Flex 2. This led people to believe that LG would soon launch the new phablet.

A stronger rumor that supports the imminent release of the LG G Flex 2 stems from the poster of the smartphone allegedly spotted at the CES event. Based on the poster, the device sports a design similar to its predecessor. It is expected to have a metal-like finish with the power and volume buttons on the back.

Stepping back, it is believed by many that the LG G Flex is among the best smartphones announced by tech manufacturers in 2013. Several tech websites rated the purported specs and features of the device highly and it also received rave reviews. In fact, the LG G Flex was among the first devices to come with a curved screen display at a time when this technology was still in development stage.

Nevertheless, LG has not made any official announcement regarding the details of the upcoming LG G Flex 2 phablet.
