LG G Flex 2 Release Date, Rumors: Global Rollout of New Smartphone Set for Early Start?

The Mobile World Congress (MWC) is set for March 1. Many leaks and spoilers have already been announced throughout phone companies, and they're not done yet. LG is releasing their global rollout of their newest G Flex2 early.

According to a press release from LG, the company will release the new phone with main carriers in the US, UK, Hong Kong, Singapore, France, and Germany. Specific markets in North and South America, Europe and Asia are also expected to have the G Flex2.

Juno Cho, president and CEO of the LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company said, "The G Flex2 shows the world that there's still room for design innovation in today's smartphones beyond just metal frames and larger displays. We think the G Flex2 is the perfect example of form and function coming together beautifully. It's a smartphone that people simply won't be able to take their eyes off of.

In the US, Sprint and AT&T are the only phone companies that will carry the G Flex2 with limited color choices. Sprint will carry the red and AT&T will carry the black. Sprint is the only one of the two that has pre-orders ready on their website. An official date has not been released yet for the two carriers.

The UK does have a release date for the G Flex2 and it is March 16. Pre-orders for the phone at Carephone Warehouse are available for around £800, according to the Android Police. Singapore is set for the phones to come out on March 14. Details on release dates and pre-orders for other countries are still uncertain.

The G Flex2 is a highly anticipated phone with its unique curved design. It also will come with the Snapdragon 810 processor, an 1080 display and a 5.5 inch display.
