'LEGO Dimensions' News & Update: Superman’s Cousin Supergirl Added To Warner Bros. Title

Warner Bros. and Interactive Entertainment's "LEGO Dimensions" has added another superhero into its expanding character ensemble, Supergirl.

Superman's cousin Supergirl is set to come to "LEGO Dimensions" in September, according to PlayStation's official blog. As per the publication, the superheroine is set to be an exclusive character to the title's PlayStation Starter Packs.

Based in the comics, Supergirl possesses several abilities, such as superhuman strength, x-ray vision, beam, and flight. She also has the Red lantern ring, which transforms her into her Red Lantern form. In this form, she can fire red energy beams and her signature move, Lantern Constructs.

With regards to the character, Supergirl was made to be the female iteration of the iconic DC Comics superheor Superman. Created by writer Otto Binder and designed by artist Al Plastino in 1959, the character initially appeared in the "Action Comics" comic book series before she landed on the television, films, and toy market.

"LEGO Dimensions" is Warner Bros. and Interactive Entertainment's Lego-themed action-adventure video game and it centers on the toys to life format. The game features Lego figures, along with a portal that can be played, covering characters and realms from more than 30 different franchises. The game also features puzzle solving are reaching concealed settings.

Warner Bros. and Interactive Entertainment's "LEGO Dimensions" was released to the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Wii U in Sept. 2015.
