'Legends of Tomorrow' Spoilers: Time Travel Will Not be Smooth for Superheroes and Villains
'Legends of Tomorrow,' the latest offering of The CW based on DC Comics will not release until 2016. While the network is yet to make an official announcement regarding the release of the upcoming spin-off television series, writers of the show have supposedly said that it will premiere in spring.
According to Christian Today, with the release of the series still far away, the newly appointed show runner of the series Phil Klemmer revealed to Entertainment Weekly recently that time travel will not go effortlessly for the assorted pack of superheroes and villains, as they endeavor to stop the malevolence of Vandal Savage.
Klemmer said, "They're screw-ups," adding, "Instead of tiptoeing through history, they're plodding through it, leaving their footprints and fingerprints and constantly having to wonder whether they're going to screw up the future rather than fix it... It's going to be total madness."
Time travel has its problems and it will definitely be shown in detail shown in 'Legends of Tomorrow.'
According to Klemmer, "Who can resist the urge to correct the past or investigate the future? The idea of traveling through time has a caper quality to it, and that's what we're looking forward to. Yes, there will be the big 'try to stop Vandal Savage,' but people will inevitably become diverted on their little side missions and when people are trying to fix their own timeline, that's when you really start screwing things up."
What is more, the problem is not only caused by the vulnerabilities of the time and space continuum itself. The group comprising villains as well as superheroes is contradictory enough.
In the meantime, a new concept art released for the show, Firestorm is distinctly the main attraction. The remaining members of the team fights Savage's army in the background. However, either it is difficult to spot some team members or they are nowhere to be found.
As far as Firestorm is concerned, it has been already clarified that the fiery superhero will be combating the bad guys in 'Legends of Tomorrow,' but what remains to be seen is how Dr. Martin Stein is able to transform when he needs to bond with Ronnie. However, as of now it is not confirmed whether Robbie Amell, the actor who plays the other half of Firestorm in 'The Flash,' will star in the spin-off or not.
